A note from Stuart Gleeson: "It is always a disappointment for everyone when a swimmer does not succeed due to injury or circumstances beyond their control. Sadly at 8am after 4 hours & 21 minutes Jessica had to stop due to a shoulder injury. A very brave effort from a future channel soloist, hopefully we'll have another try in better circumstances."
